ENERGETIC POTENTIALS IN THE DIFFERENT REIKI LEVELS

The Reiki method is something extraordinarily simple and effective. Due to its powerful nature, Dr. Usui divided Reiki into different levels so that the new energetic potentials could be integrated harmoniously and progressively within the practitioner.

The First Reiki Level (Shoden) is defined as the manual level. The practitioner in the First Level relies on energy, their own sensitivity, and intuition, using gentle and respectful hand placements to channel Reiki energy.

The Second Reiki Level (Okuden) has been mistakenly referred to as the mental level. More precisely, we could say that it is only mental in the sense that it aims to educate the mind to such fluidity, to such an awareness of its own power, that socialization has almost completely erased. The Second Reiki Level is actually the creative level: Here, creativity takes the form of overcoming boundaries, transcending forms. With the Second Level, one goes beyond the illusion of space and time, acting through presence, intention, and awareness.

The Third Reiki Level, 3A, is the level of light and silence, the restoration of connection with one's soul aspect, and the contact with the "I Am." A deepening in this level and a specific life choice lead some to transform the Third Reiki Level (3A) from a personal encounter/work with energy into teaching, by becoming a Reiki Master (3B) - Shinpiden.
