How to begin the Reiki Path
(PART 1)
How to Begin in the Most Appropriate and Correct Way with the Mikao Usui Method
APPROACHING REIKI THROUGH SENSITIVITY AND COMMON SENSE
THE FIRST STEP: FINDING A COMPETENT, SOBER, AND HONEST REIKI TEACHER
Becoming a Reiki Channel is Extremely Simple: However, It Is Necessary to Find a "Clean" Person to Transmit the Attunements.
Those who are consciously walking a path of energy sensitivity know that Reiki is "protected" from external influences: it works in us and through us effectively and lastingly, regardless of the moral integrity or balance of the person who transmits the attunements, as long as they are indeed initiated to the Third Level, know the correct initiation procedures, are energetically sensitized, and possess energetic presence (to achieve resonance during initiation... in fact, I wouldn't approach a depressed person, considering Reiki represents vitality and expression).
The fact that Reiki is transmitted correctly beyond the balance and intent of the channel/Reiki Master does not shield us from the "contact" with possible disharmonies or manipulative intentions.
Since Reiki involves working with energy and not with imagination, ill-intentioned Reiki "masters" find fertile ground for exploiting, manipulating, and creating dangerous psychological dependencies, rather than promoting universal love. It's easy to exploit Reiki in these unfortunate directions simply because it works! However, the true Reiki Method is always a path to finding oneself, never to losing oneself!
Unprepared, superficial, approximate teachers—or worse, arrogant gurus full of exaltation and fanaticism—are unfortunately common. They have every right to exist and express themselves as they see fit, but we have every right to choose whether or not to walk alongside them on our evolutionary journey!
"A path is just a path; if you feel you should not follow it, you must not stay with it under any circumstances. To achieve such clarity, you must lead a disciplined life. Only then will you know that a path is just a path, and there is no offense, to yourself or to others, in leaving it behind if that is what your heart tells you to do. But your decision to insist on the path, or to abandon it, must be free from fear and ambition." (don Juan)
(Carlos Castaneda, Gli insegnamenti di don Juan)
"Every person, all the events of your life are there because you have drawn them there. What you choose to do with them is up to you."
(Richard Bach)
It is therefore essential that anyone approaching Reiki opens their heart completely and pays attention to their inner feelings and common sense; only in this way will they recognize those who seek to deceive them in the multifaceted spiritual marketplace; only in this way will they identify a teacher who truly transmits Reiki, who does not think only of their personal power and gain, and who works with energy with competence, in a spirit of humility, loyalty, and love.
However, this sensitivity should not be directed only toward the external world. Since Reiki is a powerful tool for transformation, it must be clearly stated that everyone should feel within themselves when the right time to receive it is, and be aware of their real motivations for undertaking this path of transformation and evolution.
THE REIKI METHOD
Everyone can receive Reiki, but not everyone is able to teach it properly. In life, each person discovers they have talents, inclinations, and abilities. Embracing and expressing one's potential means walking a path of health, well-being, and self-realization. Denying important parts of oneself or forcing oneself to do what one is not inclined to do is a dangerous path, both for oneself and for others.
For oneself, restraint, denial, and force are certainly not factors that promote well-being and personal growth.
For others, providing a professional service for which one has no talent is equally detrimental. Think of a baker who makes "bad" bread or an engineer who creates unstable constructions.
The world would be a better place if everyone did with heart and commitment what they are truly capable of doing. To each their own profession! And there are so many possibilities that almost certainly, if each person truly listens to themselves, they will find their path. Let's wish to find a good baker, a good engineer, a good employee, a good hairdresser, a good worker, a good doctor, and a good Reiki Master.
