How to Activate the Symbols in the Second Reiki Degree

 

Even during the heart-centering, you can activate an energetic impulse by drawing and verbalizing CHOKU REI. By placing one hand after the other on yourself or the person being treated, let the symbols flow through your hands. If you want to establish a deeper connection with the recipient, start the contact procedure with HON SHA ZE SHO NEN and then work freely with the symbols; otherwise, start directly with CHOKU REI or SEI HEKI. You can use the symbols CHOKU REI and SEI HEKI indefinitely, depending on your feelings and the situation at hand.

For example, if you are treating a person who has been exposed to the sun for too long, use a lot of SEI HEKI and a bit of CHOKU REI (the power symbol enhances the effect of SEI HEKI), as the intention is to balance the excessive heat absorption of the skin cells. In this example, it is also advisable to mentally draw the symbols in gentle, cooling colors such as light blue, aquamarine, or light green.

It is also beneficial to activate the symbols in a state of mindfulness and mental presence. Try not to obsess over expectations regarding the concrete effects of your treatments. Instead, try to approach inner silence to feel the other person and the energy flowing through both of you; let your heart’s voice be heard while you silence your worries, fears, the chain of thoughts arising from daily stress, and your personal importance.

Through the heart, the ideal attitude for Reiki treatment arises: the intention to promote awareness and healing opens up trust that what is best will happen.

 

 

It is important to emphasize that the possibilities offered by the use of the symbols of the Second Reiki Degree are countless. The following techniques and suggestions are intended only to introduce Second Degree Reiki practitioners to a deeper dimension of feeling and not to prescribe rigid steps.

Try to grasp the deep values of love and respect underlying the Reiki method through the application of the symbols. The personal sensitivity you apply to the suggested techniques can lead you to develop, at your own pace and in your own way, what is most suitable, creative, and effective for you. With joy, you can shape and develop your Reiki in an original and unique way.»
