Dai Ko Myo Reiki, Light and Silence
The Quiet Realization of the Light of Dai Ko Myo from the Third Reiki Degree
«In a way, people have "forgotten" their spiritual essence. Reiki is a method available to everyone to easily and quickly reconnect with their own energetic component, not on a mental or belief-based level, but on an actual, energetic level.»

THE DAI KO MYO SYMBOL,
LIGHT AND SILENCE
«Some people, after having experienced the possibilities and potentials of the Second Degree for a long time, simply wish to complete their energetic training for personal growth, for a deeper meditative need, at the heart of Reiki, Dai Ko Myo, the "Great Shining Light."
The experience of harmonization with the spiritual heart of Reiki (3A seminar) is referred to as the initiation into the "Master Symbol."
The Third Degree, in a way, marks the completion of the Reiki circle, as it represents the transition from the MANUAL PHASE (First Degree) to the CREATIVE PHASE (Second Degree), culminating in the SPIRITUAL PHASE, which is the essence of Reiki, Dai Ko Myo.
Traditionally, this opportunity to complete Reiki training for self-work was reserved only for those who wanted to become Reiki Masters. However, since I believe that everyone can receive Reiki, though not everyone is meant to teach it, I introduced the division of the Third Degree into 3A and 3B in Italy in 1997.
In this way, those who have enjoyed the benefits of the first two degrees with joy and enthusiasm can complete the path through 3A without the obligation to become a Reiki Master.
The First Degree requires a deliberate attitude of non-action, as the energy itself works exactly where it is needed, and the Reiki practitioner simply places their hands.
The Second Degree of Reiki requires a shift in attitude, as it involves direction, conscious use of will, and personal responsibility—essentially, it’s about taking action. This level emphasizes actively applying Reiki techniques and symbols to facilitate healing and manifest intentions, marking a significant step from the more passive reception of energy at the First Degree.
As the highest synthesis of thesis and antithesis – which are not in opposition – the Third Degree opens the door to a dimension of superior and more conscious non-action, of letting go, of dynamic balance between relaxation and concentration, of merging with the energy itself.
Those who grasp the spirit of Reiki live this non-action by creating emptiness within themselves (setting aside worries, needs, desires, goals) to allow the energy to flow fully, to be one with the Universal Life Energy.
However, those who embody the Third Degree do not become lazy or let things happen by themselves; rather, they ensure that their actions never overshadow the voice of feeling, of the heart, of the spirit. The inner direction that guides us on a path with heart knows no judgment; it is a direction that brings us to the here and now, allowing us to see things as they are, without arrogance, guilt, or fear.
Through this same path, the "Great Shining Light" of the Third Degree fosters the growth and maturation of trust and inner certainty that, as long as we remain balanced, the most appropriate things will always happen.
The harmonization of the Third Degree imparts a new powerful impulse for growth; it involves one's emotional and spiritual sphere, and perception becomes even more sensitive and subtle: the intuitive ability to grasp aspects of reality that were previously overlooked increases. Naturally, all of this requires even more balance and responsibility, even though it simultaneously stimulates these requirements.
Through the harmonization of the Third Degree, there is a further increase in vibration: the entire energy system resonates at a higher frequency.
Dai Ko Myo is a symbol of light; its vibration, with the "epicenter" at the spiritual heart, the 4th Chakra, brings us closer to the light and the spirit.
Dai Ko Myo is a valuable tool of light, operating through silence, fluidity, conscious non-action, simple being, and clear presence.
After harmonization, it is advisable to spend some time becoming familiar with this symbol of light, so that the resonance with it gradually increases. The initiation is indeed only the beginning, the impulse of a growth process that holds enormous potential: gradually, through continuous practice and opening our hearts and our entire being to the light, we can unfold the extraordinary qualities of Dai Ko Myo.
By achieving a balance between relaxation and concentration, and aligning our intent and love, we can directly treat other living beings on the heart level (sometimes referred to as "astral" or "psychic") through the light of Dai Ko Myo.»
