Distant Reiki Treatment with the Second Degree
Overcoming the Illusions of Space and Time with the Second Reiki Degree

DISTANT REIKI TREATMENT
WITH THE SECOND DEGREE
The Power of Intent through Reiki
«The use of Reiki at this level often generates skepticism among people who are generally skeptical and accustomed to relying solely on the solidified foundations of reason. These people are not asked to believe in something so far removed from the usual description of the world, but rather to experiment with an open mind and, above all, an open heart. As with all healing practices, and especially with distant treatment, it is essential to maintain an attitude of deep respect, love, and humility towards the beings for whom we are privileged to act as Reiki channels.
A conscious and sincere withdrawal of personal egoic needs brings out the full potential for connection inherent in the Second Degree Reiki and particularly in the Reiki symbol HON SHA ZE SHO NEN.
Asking for Permission
You can decide to treat someone at a distance when they have previously requested it; in this case, there is no need to ask for permission. However, you may also wish to treat someone because you know for sure that they are unwell or because you intuit that they might need an energetic boost. In these instances, it is a respectful act to ask the person—through the energetic process itself—if they actually wish to receive Reiki energy.
Sometimes the soul needs to handle things on its own because, above all, it wants to evolve. Asking is easy, but trusting the answer is less so. However, with a bit of practice, the doubts of the mind soon give way.
Procedure for Distant Treatment
In a relaxed atmosphere, in silence or with appropriate music playing softly in the background, sit comfortably, disconnect the phones, and ensure you won't be disturbed for 15-20 minutes. Optional: draw HSZSN, SH, CR, respectively, saying each name three times; then say your own name three times (intimate connection with yourself); then send energy to your 6th chakra for one minute by placing your hands on it. This will help you relax and be present in what you are doing, allowing you to interpret more clearly the response of the person from whom you ask permission.
1) Perform heart centering.
2) Focus on the person (or situation) you intend to work with. Rest your hands on your lap with your palms facing upward. Visualize a bright sphere of light constantly nourished by your radiant hands, resting on them. This sphere extends to the top of your head. Visualize the person (or situation) within the sphere of light. You can help yourself by imagining, if you know, the environment where the person is likely to be at that moment.
3) Contact procedure: Draw HON SHA ZE SHO NEN and say the name three times. Draw SEI HEKI and say the name three times. Draw CHOKU REI and say the name three times..
4) Say the person's name three times (if treating a situation, give it an appropriate title to say three times) and continue visualizing them in the sphere.
5) Greet the person and introduce yourself.
6) State your intent, for example: "I would like to send you some energy"; "I would like to give you a Reiki treatment."
7) Ask permission to send Reiki to the person visualized. For example: "May I send you some energy?"; "May I give you a Reiki treatment?"
8) Listen for their response. Try to reach a good level of detachment from any other thoughts and calmly open yourself to listening: the response may be auditory (an inner voice saying yes or no), visual (e.g., the person visualized smiles, embraces you, or turns away), or may manifest as a clear favorable or unfavorable sensation. Beyond these modalities, it is usually your hands that let you know if the person appreciates the treatment: this happens when you feel the energy "boldly" flowing from them even before you have received other forms of response. Do not be discouraged if at first, it "seems" you don't perceive anything: the mind needs time to get used to things that are not ordinary.
9) Once you receive an affirmative response (when contacting a person), try to sense what their real needs are, or mentally ask the person and listen to the answer. Now you can send Reiki energy, visualizing a cloak of shining light enveloping the recipient and occasionally projecting CHOKU REI (and SEI HEKI if necessary). If you receive a refusal, thank the person you contacted, mentally smooth the aura of the visualized sphere of light three times from top to bottom, and then rub your hands. If you receive a refusal but still feel that you want to do something for the person, ask the Energy to be available for them whenever they desire it; imagine creating a sort of "reserve" of energy in their environment that they can draw from if needed. At the end, perform the mental smoothing of the sphere of light.
10) State your intent using affirmative statements according to your sensitivity. For example: "Reiki Energy enters you and brings you peace, serenity, balance, infinite joy of living, healing, health, fulfillment"; "You are a being of light in harmony with the universe"; "Your liver ailment heals in the best possible way"; "May the Universal Energy of Love of Reiki help you understand the meaning and message of every disharmony and guide you on the path to healing through awareness.
11) Alternate throughout the treatment moments of visualization (chakras reactivating, wounds healing, Energy enveloping the recipient, the successful outcome of the situation, etc.), moments of sending Reiki Energy (using CHOKU REI and SEI HEKI mixed according to your intuition), moments of positive verbalization, appropriate recollections, and moments of simple, relaxed, loving listening.
12) Before concluding, express an intention similar to the following: "May Reiki Energy continue to work in you for awareness, healing, and well-being even after the end of this treatment. May your highest good be done! CHOKU REI, CHOKU REI, CHOKU REI!"
At the end of the treatment, thank the person you contacted and the Reiki Energy, mentally smooth the aura of the visualized sphere of light three times from top to bottom, then rub your hands and wash them with water.»
