Sei Heki (SH) evokes harmony, balance, peace, calm, tension release, purification, detoxification, inflammation reduction, and healing. The functions of this emotional-mental key are to create bridges to the subconscious, to propagate a vibration of harmony and healing that can restore balance, dissolve old wounds and deep conflicts, and release energy blockages.

Sei Heki indicates "the mental state of one who remains composed" and is sometimes understood as "I have the key."

It is a Reiki symbol infused with love. It is believed to originate from Kiriku (pronounced: Kilìku), the symbol of Love in the trinity of Love, Light, and Strength of Sonten, the divine source worshipped at the temple on Mount Kurama, where Mikao Usui had profound insights.
