DUMO
Dumo is the tenth symbol of the Advanced Karuna® Reiki Method.
The Tibetan Dai Ko Mio - DUMO (Tibetan Master) is used during initiation procedures or on its own during treatments.
Historically, it was used in Tibetan spiritual practices, even in exorcisms, invoking the flame and heat of Kundalini energy, which represents the ancient and deep desire for spiritual evolution inherent in humans. Dumo is a flame that can be evoked and magnified at will, similar to a burning spiritual yearning.
When ignored, the force of Kundalini's spiritual awakening can lead to unconscious longing, discomfort, and psychosomatic manifestations. However, when listened to and given space, it first manifests as an intense desire for knowledge and spiritual growth: the individual begins to hear the whispers of the Infinite and opens up to transcendence.
Dumo’s action, when you open yourself to energy and knowledge, consists in integrating the conflicting facets of your personality and taming your mental resistance (the stories you tell yourself). By creating space, Kundalini can gradually manifest and ascend.
The energy reserve located in the root chakra, metaphorically described as a coiled serpent that unravels as it rises through the chakras towards the 7th, needs a harmonious and gentle development—never forced. This development comes from patient and disciplined self-work. Dumo’s energy helps dissolve karmic knots and accumulated energetic blockages from this life.
When used with the energy of the Advanced Karuna® Reiki Method, the Tibetan Dai Ko Mio flows through the recipient, connecting them to Mother Earth and the Earth Star chakra. In doing so, it helps them remain centered and grounded in their spiritual purpose. Dumo can be used for countless other purposes depending on personal sensitivity.
