Dai Ko Myo is the ninth symbol of the Advanced Karuna® Reiki Method.
Dai Ko Myo means Great Shining Light – it vibrates with light and silence. Dai Ko Myo is used in the initiations at various levels of Reiki in both the Usui system and the Advanced Karuna® Reiki Method.
In the Advanced Karuna® Reiki Method, it is directed into the head to promote clarity and inner silence. Dai Ko Myo is a symbol of light. Its vibration, centered in the spiritual heart (4th Chakra), brings one closer to the Light and Spirit.
By achieving a balance between relaxation and concentration, and directing your intent and love, through the light of Dai Ko Myo, you can treat other living beings directly on the astral plane or through the psychic body.
Dai Ko Myo is protection. Use this symbol by invoking its mantra, visualizing its energy enveloping you, and expressing the desire for it to protect you from any disharmonious influences (manifesting your intent). You can also draw Dai Ko Myo in front of you with your hand (as large as your physical body) and step into it. Then, bring forth a Dai Ko Myo from your heart and visualize it expanding until it coincides with the one you drew. Inside and outside are One, You and Dai Ko Myo are One.
Dai Ko Myo supports all those who meditate and practice Reiki. It is a protective shield and a reminder that all beings share the same origin. Dai Ko Myo helps rediscover what has been lost. It is the symbol of Light. Reiki is the energy of the heart, and Dai Ko Myo is its heartbeat.
